Users of the popular crypto-exchange Coinbase are telling about a wave of fake emails reaching them. This is not the first time crypto exchanges are attacked by cyber criminals ... and definitely will not be the last. And the outcome of the situation is as follows. Never trust suspicious emails from any institution. This is an intelligent approach, and although emails are at first sight very well thought out, they can be recognized. They contain all the links to the stock exchange and the mobile app as everyone would expect.
Therefore, it is not difficult for the recipient to be misled. Letters carry information about a transaction that has never actually taken place. There is also a link to give you more money transfer information. But alas, there is no such transfer, and the link redirects to a fake login page. It turns out that once you enter your data, in fact, nothing is true, and your account information is already stored by cyber criminals.
When you find yourself in such a situation, there is no reason to open money transfer links, especially if you are not sure it was.
Obviously, criminals will continue to target consumers and crypto traders. With rising prices, they become a much more appealing target. There are many novices in the crypto who are not aware of the fraudsters' strategies and would not be able to distinguish falsification. Often, prima facie legitimate information would be detrimental to the balance on your account, and your personal data may be misused.
For the past year and a half, Coinbase enjoys 4 million new users and manages nearly 30 million wallets. With so many new accounts and currency traders, targets for criminals are rising.
We will keep an eye on the developments on the topic!

Cybersecurity is going to be the most important industry over the next ten years. There are hackers all over the place and they are stealing everything they can get their hands on. With crypto, the interesting aspect is the information file they steal has the value...no need to sell anything.
With more things going online, it is a hackers paradise.
