So, here are my recommendations to minimize the risk:

* Get a 2-step verification or Google Authenticator app
* Have public and private email. Private - for trusted services ONLY
* Separate your cryptos into more than 2 exchanges
* Get a crypto wallet. For the long term - Trezor, Ledger. For interacting - Metamask, Trust Wallet
* Have 1-3 wallets for DeFi

For passwords:
* Keep a pass from your crypto wallet written on 2 papers and physically store it in multiple places
* 1 strong pass for 1 source, change them regularly
* Keep your passwords safe - use LastPass or KeePass, keep a password from it in a safe place (offline in a notebook)
* Do not keep your passwords in messengers, emails
