I believe that the most underrated YouTuber in the crypto space is Ken the Crypto (Ken Llamas) after following him for a few months, watching his videos, listening to his podcasts and chatting with him on Discord.

YouTube Videos

I strongly recommend that investors in the crypto space who are interested about growing their portfolios substantially, investing in high-growth potential altcoins follow him on YouTube and watch his videos. They are a great reference point for getting started.

'Altcoin Gem' Reviews

Above are snapshots of my personal favorite videos and altcoin reviews but Ken does reviews of countless other altcoins. I don't like all his recommendations and you will have to decide which ones you like and which ones you want to invest in based on Ken's reviews and additional due diligence. However, Ken has a methodology for researching his coins and pitching them to viewers and Ken is unique in that he discusses Low Market Cap Projects (beyond the first page of CoinMarketCap.com) which have room for significant Market Cap Growth & Price Appreciation (From 10x-100x+ in a few months).

The mainstream YouTubers in the crypto space that I have seen such as DataDash & Crypto Love are very good as well but they tend to discuss coins in the Top 100 on CMC. I recommend watching them as well if you are looking for safer altcoins to invest in, but I will say that while those coins have room for growth and are relatively safe, they are coins that have peaked for the most part. If you are looking for higher reward (10x-100x+ in a few months) then I would recommend watching Ken, because the low-market cap altcoins have potential for that sort of reward. A crypto with a Market Cap of less than $50 Million has the potential for a 10x or 100x in a relatively short amount of time, whereas a crypto with a Market Cap of $5 Billion will have a much tougher time achieving a 5x in that same time period.

Ken's reviews go into a nice overview of the projects as he discusses the:

  • Financial Overview (Current Market Cap, Circulating Supply, Max Supply & Potential for Price Appreciation)
  • Target Market (What industry the Project is seeking to Tackle)
  • Utility Value (How the Project fits in to the Target Market and seeks to Innovate & Disrupt it)
  • Social Media (How active are they on Twitter etc. & how often they put out updates)
  • Teams & Advisory Boards (Researches their LinkedIn profiles & views their past Leadership & Work Experiences)
  • Platform Development (Views their GitHub to see how active the Dev teams are & how much they're coding)
  • Road Map (How much Progress the Project has made so far in developing their platform, working product & partnerships & where they are heading in the upcoming months)

Please DYOR & Own Your Investment Decisions

With this sort of high reward comes high risk of course and you should only watch Ken if you are willing to lose your entire investment in the coins he recommends & be comfortable with it. You should only watch Ken if you do your own additional due diligence and determine if those coins are right for you. There is no guarantee of these sorts of gains and these are intended as opinions/reviews and not financial advice.

** Like I said previously, I don't like every single one of his coins and am only invested in a rare few that really stood out to me, because with coins like these, there is additional risk on top of the risk that top 100 coins come with. I personally recommend to choose which coins of Ken's you may like & do plenty of additional research to determine which coins you may like in addition to Ken's choices. There are plenty of resources (Don't get your news & information from one single source) out there from YouTube reviews, Crypto Project Websites, WhitePapers, Medium articles & interacting with Project Teams & Investors on Discord on Telegram to get your owns sense of what the sentiment & quality of the project are like.

I recommend you remove emotion from your decision-making in crypto markets as much as possible and keep a diversified portfolio with some high, mid & low market cap coins with whatever composition of risk/reward you feel comfortable with. I also recommend you HODL your coins for at least a few months (especially during market downturns like these) so they have time to peak in value & that you keep them safe and secure in Cold Storage (I keep mine in a Nano Ledger).

Market Updates, HODL Motivation & Trading Strategies

In addition to Ken's reviews, he also provides market updates, HODL motivation as well as trading and portfolio strategies during bull and bear markets. He talks about how you could get free crypto by doing ICO bounties, why you need to hold your coins during a downmarket and covers major market fluctuations as well as related news. Ken does not do technical analysis and is more of a long-term holder rather than day-trader. I think that technical analysis is not very important unless you are a day-trader but then this channel isn't for you. Day trading is more for High Daily Trading Volume coins such as Bitcoin. You need to be willing to hold these Low MC altcoins for the long-term (6 months+) and shouldn't sell at a loss. He talks about his portfolio composition, cold storage and trading once in a while.

A Peak from Ken's Life & Perspective

What's awesome is that Ken also throws some videos about himself and tells us interesting stories. I can say today I watched a video on how Ken denied a $50,000 ICO sponsorship offer, because he didn't believe in the project and it wasn't the right thing to do. He talks about how the project was a scam, how he was very tempted to accept the offer, but how he ultimately didn't want to scam his viewers and hurt his own reputation. He said that he has bigger goals and that he wants to become a bigger influencer and leave a legacy, and accepting a scammy project would do nothing to help him progress for his long-term goals. And his sheer honesty is what is amazing and how transparent he is. I think it speaks to his character now and it speaks to how he will grow as well as his channel!

I also think that young people (from say high school to recent college graduates) who are interested in areas such as Personal Development & Entrepreneurship and are contemplating being an Online Content Creator/Influencer, Building their Personal Brand & Starting an Online Business should follow him on SoundCloud for his Podcasts.

He talks honestly about his own day-to-day or week-to-week development, goals & hurdles and how he goes about pushing through it all, and like his altcoin recommendations, he drops alot of gems in his podcast as well for us all to learn and benefit from. He talks about personal development, personal branding, fitness, diet, online business, entrepreneurship & he doesn't just speak about himself but also speaks to the audience as if it is a 2-way journey (his & your own) so that both him and you - the listener, can be the best versions and live the best lives. In fact, through watching him, talking to him & especially, through listening to him preach on his Podcast, I became motivated and interested in starting my own Steemit Blog, developing my Personal Brand & sharing my own knowledge, experience and opinions with the community. I have just begun my journey on Steemit last week itself and I am just getting started! The thing I love about Ken's podcasts is that he speaks very transparently and honestly and you can make out that he is really pouring his heart to his listeners into his podcasts. And it really inspires his listeners - it certainly inspired me to take more action - and I hope it inspires you as well!

** This is not financial advice and I am not a financial advisor. Please do your own due diligence when making investments in cryptocurrency markets. This is not a sponsored or paid review, but my own acknowledgement of Ken the Crypto as a great resource for information on undervalued altcoins and personal development.

I'm trying to get Ken to join Steemit, DSound & DTube bc this social media is the definition of decentralization and he is working on signing up and joining these platforms. I honestly barely use regular social media anymore because it is so distasteful and centralized.

I am loving Steemit & have only been here for such a short time (about a week). I want to give a shout out to the Minnow Support & Steemit School Communities as they have been great help for me & other minnows. I want to thank all my 500 followers (Yay!) & everyone who gives me a follow, upvote & comment. I really appreciate it and really try to follow, upvote and comment everyone back. Cheers & Happy Steeming 😆

I have been recently finding great youtube videos on cryptos. I am really into discovering new Alts every day & Price actions and charts have also recently been my interest. I will definitely check him out !

aye, encourage that young lad to join us on Dtube and Steemit?
quite the write up, defiantly niche viewers but plenty of room in the crypto sections for speculators.

Wow, this is nice. I'll definitely check it out. If he is really discussing those things, I would be a fan right away. :D

Yup, he gives a nice overview! If you want to check out things in more depth, with projects that really pique your interest than you have the framework for doing so. Just go into more detail on your own using resources from the project and check out the communities to see what they are saying about the projects 😉 @liberviarum
