Ownership
In many other social media, even if the content and connections are made by the users, the whole platform is owned by the company shareholders not the users. In the Dongle Community, owners of the Dongle own their content and their community. They can, for example, decide to sell their activity or vote to make decisions on their Dongle Spaces.
Current communities or social network services such as Reddit, 9gag, or Facebook have their own rules, which aren’t created by the users. In the Dongle Community and Spaces, as the users are owners, users decide what can be posted or not. If the content is inappropriate, Dongle owners decide whether to hide it or not from their Dongle Space. For example, a tennis game video could be hidden from the NFL community if the owners of the Dongles with the NFL tag decide to.
Privacy
One of the major pitfalls of using centralized communities is that users have no choice but to give away their private information. However, in the Dongle, no private information such as address is required nor collected. The Dongle is valued based on its immutable rights and content. The value of the Dongle community is not created by private information nor by targeted advertising. It is created by the value of the Dongle Community itself and is distributed to the Dongle owners.
Anonymity
No personal information is collected. In fact, there is no ”personal” identity. The Dongle itself is an identity. Users log in through a Dongle NFT in their wallet. The subject of the account is not an individual person, but the Dongle itself.
Quality of content
One of the major concerns of all social media is the quality of content. We expect people to write high-quality posts and comments with their ownership in order to increase the value of their Dongle Spaces tagged with their Dongle NFTs and to increase the value of their individual Dongles.
