Cardano (ADA) is a popular blockchain or block chain project that is attracting the attention of various investors and enthusiasts of this technology.

Each of the organizations plays a crucial role in giving life to Cardano. Its objective is to offer better interoperability, scalability and sustainability.

Development phases

To better understand the roadmap, we must first list the development phases predefined by the Cardano team. The development is also done in parallel if the component does not depend on others.

Byron Cardano is currently in the Byron phase, also known as the start-up phase. In this phase they will create a new cryptocurrency technology stack with a completely new design and code, created from scratch.

Premiere: Second Quarter of 2018.
Purpose: To make Cardano SL (Cardano Liquidation Layer) completely decentralized. It will also help improve Ouroboros.
Completed: Mechanism for sending records, improvements in the exchange of cryptoactives and launch of the Cardano SL mainnet.
Active: Launch of Cardano SL 1.3 that aims to improve user experience, memory consumption and Daedalus wallet interface.

Shelley Shelley is the next development phase of Cardano, which has to do with decentralization. Once the Byron baseline is developed, it will be time for Cardano's team to further improve the decentralization and autonomy of the entire system. Premiere: Second and Third Quarter of 2018. Purpose: To make the platform autonomous and decentralized, totally independent. They are also focusing on other aspects, including test networks and delegation mechanisms. Completed: Shelley has been in active development and many of its components have been completed so far. Among them we have the acceleration in the synchronization of networks and restoration of wallets, paper wallets, consensus incentives and tariffs. Active: Shelley's goal is extensive and that is why we will see many features updated periodically. To make it easier to understand, let's list them below:

Research work on the Ouroboros delegation mechanisms: Almost complete. Final revision stage.
Implementation of the Ouroboros delegation: Initial stages of development.
Multi-signature transactions: 40% of the full development.
Integration of the wallet or purse: Review stage, 80% completed.

A description of what is happening

At this time, the Cardano project has made many improvements over time. Currently the team is working in the Byron Phase. In this phase the focus is on allowing users to exchange and transfer ADA. In this same phase, they will focus on the design of the Daedalus interface and will also improve third-party API integration.

Next, they will go to Shelly, who deals with the decentralization and autonomy of the network.

They are also working on different aspects of the Cardano blockchain, which includes scalability, sustainability and interoperability. Over time, the complexity will increase, and the team plans to use more advanced cryptographic tools.
