According to cnn.com on Jan 26th the Japanese exchange coincheck freeze all withdrawals after 126 million dollars are taken out of the exchange in ripple (xrp). over 530 million u.s. dollars what's hacked from The Exchange in NEM. They later came to say they appologize and will be refunding their users for 426 million dollars (about 80% of the hack) but did not say when or how this would be done. This is leading to goverment scrutiny to the coincheck and crypto exchanges in japan and may lead to further investogations.
NEM although seeing a slight drop in price shortly after the hack has managed to recover and then some in value.
