The first Cryptocurrencies meetup in Tunisia happened last saturday Mars 17th and lasted two hours where we went through all the planned program announced in our facebook event Blockchain, Crypto Currencies, and Steemit!.

We'll make a presentation about:

  • What are blockchains?
  • What are crypto currencies and how to earn them?
  • How to earn STEEM by blogging on Steemit?

Then, actual Tunisian "Steemians" will tell you about their experience with blogging and cryptocurrencies.

The event on facebook had 19 participants and 70 interested and we had more interested people from steemit and discord.

In reality there were a little more than 20 participants.

Amideast has a librairie called "the americain corner" that hosts some clubs and different types of events and it has the perfect location near the center of Tunis, the capital of Tunisia.

That's why it was the first choice to organise our meetup.

We only reserved the place for one hour, but people were so interested, including the manageress of the Americain Corner, So we took an extra half hour.

Once the event officially ended, some people came asking more questions, I suppose they were too shy to ask them in public, and we had a friendly thoughtful conversation that lasted another half hour.

We added each other on facebook in order to keep in touch and for everyone to stay tuned with what's going on in the world of cryptocurrencies and to find each other on steemit.

After that we remembered we should take some group photos.

It’s always great to see steemit growing especially in a small country like yours. Steemit is the better place to showcase whatever you have. Keep it up @hazem91
