ICYMI: Silicon Valley billionaire Elon Musk sounded the death knell for cash. “Paper money is going away,” Musk said on the “FYI — For Your Innovation” podcast.
“Crypto[currency] is a far better way to transfer value than pieces of paper, that’s for sure,” Musk said
In particular, Musk said the technology behind bitcoin is “quite brilliant” and “it seems like there is some merit to ethereum and maybe some of the others.”
While Musk isn't personally involved in crypto, he did receive a gift of 0.25 BTC a number of years ago. Good to see one of the world's top tech leaders talking about the benefits of crypto.
