One of the key components I have needed to instantiate a MEQUAVIS system has been sidechaining!
It is suppose to be here this summer!
It's called Rootstock... Etherium can already do it's own version of sidechaining... Which is why Etherium is so cool by the way.

People say 1300 altcoins is too many! I say it's not enough!!! 1300 for the whole world?
OK, Understand this. Every altcoin is a gear in a bigger machine that hasn't been built yet... Rootstock and atomic swaps and Etherium are going to provide the missing Cogs to that machine that connects all the gears!
What I am saying is that every altcoin that is a legit coin will surge in price come the release of this technology!
penny coins will be worth hundreds! Over night!!!
Bitcoin will still stay top dog, like the keystone of an arch... but altcoin prices will level out... As long as the developers of said alt coins don't do anything silly like produce coins maliciously in blocks using software updates and etc.... Anything like that will plummet the coins price of course due to risk...
But mark my words. I am not wrong here and I doubt you have realized what I am telling you right now.
I myself plan to use a combination of bitcoin type block chains in conjunction with rootstock style sidechaining in combination with a modified etherium network. Basically NanoCheeZe will connect to nanotherium via rootstock technology and nanotherium will sidechain into other etherium chains that will then sidechain into other bitcoin or other style block chains at the bottom level in simulations.... Fire-walling a virtual world from our real block chain effectively...
What is RootStock Bitcoin?
RootStock is a smart-contract peer-to-peer platform built on top of the Bitcoin blockchain. Its goal is to add value and functionality to the core Bitcoin network by the implementation of sophisticated smart contracts as a Sidechain.
And please, tell me you don't recognize the rootstock symbol!!!
It is literally the center of our circles in our system.... The two leaves, are the inputs and outputs... I have simply extended the graph out with an outer circle with two inputs and two outputs...
I also don't visually show the inputs. Mine only displays the outputs to the sub chains below... The inputs are assumed and coming from one of the 2 red circles.. One is a honeypot...
Interesting. Good post
