These last couple of weeks have been a rollercoaster, with BTC hitting USD 1850 at one point! If you were able to snag one at that price, you're doing all right!

While the tide was out Alt coins took a massive haircut, in what I have heard referred to as the "Summer Sale". If you've been holding out waiting for a dip, that was it. There'll be more, but they may be at higher prices.

Now that the tide has come back in and BTC is climbing higher and higher, Alts are also seeing their value increase.

So what's up in my wallet this week?

DGB

If you've been following my adventures with DGB, you'll recall that I sold out of DGB just a day or so before it went to the moon. Of course I made profit on each sale, but I had been holding enough that if I hadn't sold until the moonshot I would no longer have to work a conventional job. Such is life in the crypto markets.

On July 19th I felt like it was the right time to buy back into DGB, so I scooped some back up at 0.00000512 per.

As of this posting:

DGB is the little coin that could, and I think it can still do more! On Bittrex, DGB is up 27% right now.

BAT - Basic Attention Token

Maybe it's because I work in Digital Advertising Operations, or maybe it's because I see that blockchain hasn't stamped its revolutionary foot down on the industry, but either way new technology will eventually bring change. The digital ad industry will not be an exception to this change.

Instead, I think that early movers like BAT will become foundational in the new way of doing business. Once everyone else starts catching on to how blockchain can help them save more than millions in ad waste and fraud, they'll start looking for the solutions that the BRAVE Browser and BAT team is developing now.

As of this posting, Bittrex has BAT up 24%. There's still a ways to go for BAT and there are definitely other competitors trying to elbow their way into the game. However, BAT is already a step ahead because BRAVE browser has been out for some time. I plan to continue consolidating BAT.

CVC - Civic

The secure identity platform has been seeing some gains, and has risen to #3 on my wallet. Though I haven't put too much into this coin, I do really like the offering. I invested some btc to show support and I'm happy with the returns here so far, but I'm not sure if I'm long on this project quite yet.

Time will tell, but I'll keep you updated.

SC - Sia Coin

The decentralized cloud storage solution Sia is starting to recover some ground today. I am a fan of Sia Coin, Maidsafe, and Storj and believe that we'll soon have a clearer picture of which project/s will lead in this space.

This is one of the coins that I am currently bag holding on, so it's nice to see some price movement in the positive. 15% is a great start, but 115% is better ;)

Overall, I'm very pleased with my portfolio's performance, especially when BTC dropped to 1850. One sign of a strong portfolio is holding a strong balance even when BTC is dropping. Only good projects hold their value well in these circumstances.
