Popular online Ethereum (ETH) website and app MyEtherWallet has partnered with decentralized domain provider Unstoppable Domains to become the first reseller for ‘.crypto’ domain names.
On behalf of all users, anyone can now instantly register ‘.crypto’ domains. Using Unstoppable Domains enables customers to purchase and manage their domains securely, with no charge or registration fees. Unstoppable Domains facilitates the registration, transfer and hosting of domain names, as well as the transfer of Internet domain names, hosting and e-commerce to marketplaces such as, Metaverse, GAS, Cryptorush, Smarkets, and more. With the first service launch, customers can register domain names on an Ethereum Blockchain enabled domain name wallet wallet, now available for either iPhone and Android. MyEtherWallet customers will be able to store and manage domain names on their smartphone and conveniently access them in opera and chrome browser.
Rather than using the cumbersome 35 alphanumeric addresses associated with crypto wallets, ‘.crypto’ domain purchasers are able to associate the domain with their cryptocurrency wallet — allowing them to use simple addresses such as ‘yourname.crypto’ when requesting payments.
Additionally, the extension supports up to 10 websites without installing new extensions. Just click "advanced options" on your browser's extensions page and click the checkbox next to the Unstoppable Domains icon. Note that Unstoppable Domains does not display any of your personal info to any person or company you don't explicitly authorize. It's a choice, for the most part.
