In those past three weeks steem dollar has gone to the peak value which is somewhere a single steem dollar is worthy of 16.8 us dollar. Most of the trading was happened in those time. Some people say that these are the most unbalanced situation of steem dollar they have ever seen.
But in the last 24 hours all of a sudden steem dollar really behaved unbalanced condition. In those 24 hour time period in reache to the 14.2/SBD to 6.6/SBD .Such thing never happened in those past there weeks. The sudden fall of steem dollar value may have a huge effect of the market as the Trading volume fall from 6M to 2.8M and Market capitalization fall from 55M to 33M.

Its not the Steem that is the problem. Its actually Bitcoin that is pulling the strings. its bitcoin's fall that is making all the cryptoworld fall with it. all the altcoins showing a serious fall in their prices. so no need to worry as bitcoin will strike back and when that happens, SBD is going to regain value.
