IOTA? Has it lost its roses?

So, I have invested into iota when it was in the sub-dollar range, I am beginning to think my biggest shortcoming was refusing to sell of my complete investment when it climbed above $5. Well, I am still not very sad about my decision, given the fact I made approximately 530% of my previous investment into this very coin and replenishing about 20% of my initial iota coin stock. 

I still believe in this tech given their boldness, and vast elite team. That said, the hype is beginning to die down, but my faith remains strong about this very coin. Below are some perspective people are beginning to have concerning this coin, I am displaying the negatives mostly here after I asked around about people's opinion.

•  Not based on its performance, but I hold some because I believe in the tech and the team, so call me stupid. I'm still waiting on blockchain voting solutions for the non-nationalistic future, though.
  
•  Same here. I bought too early though but **** happens. I believe in the tech and team too, but I think it will take quite some time. I don't think the time's right for it yet, but in like a year or two maybe.
   
•  Nope. The hype ran out of air and the tech seems rather clumsy.
  
•  The hype ran out, but that is a good signal to buy.
  IOTA should be great in the long term, if the development progresses successful.
  
•  One of the biggest points of criticisms with IOTA is precisely the team.They built their own cryptography protocols, and in the world of security this is perhaps the biggest mistake that anybody could make. In fact, they have suffered consequences because of it.
  So in the end this has greatly impacted the team's outlook because it shows a dangerous level of arrogance.
  
•  It sounds great, I hold some but resently I've been having more dought. On the surface it seems like the leader doesn't respond very well to critism and could handle things better. But I'll still hodl as I've only got a little anyway and maybe they'll do good.
  
•   it's hard to predict the future of IOTA for sure. I hodl a bounch as well... lost 50-60% in value but hopefully will get back on track in some new good things gets going with the project. Will def hodl, that's for sure.
