Imagine Facebook turning out to love and protect all of us from fraud and scams! (Lol). Few weeks ago, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in his new year company statement announced his interest to explore blockchain technology- read info here however now he tends to hate/dislike cryptos and plans to protect all of us from crypto´s including ICO scams?
According to CNBC news:
Facebook is banning all ads that promote cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, in an effort to prevent people from advertising what the company is calling "financial products and services frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices."
That means no advertiser — even those that operate legal, legitimate businesses — will be able to promote things like bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, initial coin offerings — ICOs for short — or binary options, according to a Facebook blog post.
That also means that "crypto-genius" James Altucher, whose ads have appeared all over the internet and have become a meme of sorts for the entire crypto industry, won't be able to advertise on Facebook.
Ads that violate the company's new policy will be banned on Facebook's core app, but also in other places where Facebook sells ads, including Instagram and its ad network, Audience Network, which places ads on third-party apps.
I wonder when facebook starts thinking about the interests of everyone against scams-or is it a secret plan to stop the constant adds promoting future competitors in the crypto space especially steemit to their 1B+ users? Here are some few points.
Can’t Stop The movement: Governments including their dogs (banks) have tried and continue to try daily to kill cryptos however history has shown that an idea / movement that benefits the masses cannot be stopped or killed by cronies in the capitalist world. Therefore, facebook can ban crypto adverts however steemit platform and other crypto´s growth will not be killed rather will continue to surge in an upward trajectory.
Strong community: Steemit ( Bitcoin + other cryptos in general) success is based on strong / large communities that are passionate about its blockchain technology and thus will defend it against all haters . This is not the same with Facebook where members are not getting any financial reward or even a good thank you for using and being active on the platform that enriches shareholders and owners while censoring / dictating what its members post (and now advertise). Therefore, do not be worried because Facebook et al cannot stop our progress!!!
Now is your turn: Is Facebook trying to protect us against scams from Crypto´s ? or is there a hidden agenda ? send in your comments, would you pls upvote to send in your support and resteem for others to join.

Thanks for being a good advocate of steem ecosystem and blockchain technologies.

@charles1 I hope Steemit will surpass Facebook. with regards to the EthereumLyte , is it an ICO or already an altcoin? where can you buy it? what is the best website where you can read full details of it? I know you included all of the website to check it but my brain is not good at multitasking right now. I tried to check one website below but its not offering it anymore.

Very interesting writing, difacebook we share anything, without any gratitude from the owner, we feel happy happy and happy to share, happy only with posting we are liked by the crowd, but it turns out that the happier and get their mamfaat is only the owner facebook and the circle itself, while we just enliven their glory without getting any results, I am very amenable and very excited to join in this steemet, although there is no thing that I really understand, but I will try to keep learning, and can be a stemian that produces, because having fun in this steemet brings a better life change, especially financial change, and certainly joined the people who first succeed in this steemet

Ha ha, futile attempts these! There is a revolution underway. Those in power always want to retain their power, but decentralization, Blockchain, and crypto will be inevitable as the world moves towards the future.
Today, India released it's financial budget plan and one of the topics of content is the government's plan to ban all forms of cryptocurrency buying and selling. Thankfully we can still trade and invest.
In the end, Facebook and such sites which offer absolutely no return to most users will move to ban such things on their platform because they are threatened. But then, I don't use Facebook much, so I don't really care. Infact I share anti-facebook news on Facebook. Ironic isn't it.

Good point indeed. I wonder why Indian government is afraid of such innovative blockchain tech when India is a top Tech country? guess that the fear of loosing control is a big issue for them

Yeah, the fear of loosing control is one thing. Considering 10% of the world's btc trading comes from India, crypto will only grow, no matter whatever regulations they will bring in. There will always be a way out

Love this, and the image is my thoughts exactly!
These old school social platforms really tick me off, as they had ample opportunity to create a similar revenue share system with the already huge number of people on the platform and they chose not to.
It took people with a conscience to create social platforms that actually share and spread the enormous amount of revenue generated through social media to make them take a closer look. They have been exploiting the masses for decades.
great post.
stay blessed, long live @steemit and its array of spin off sharers & carers.

Will do... it is the only way forward, we have a battle on our hands and I think it is high time good people stood up and got counted, as we have left it in the hands of organised self serving 1% for far too long. There is indeed enough for ALL.
oops, apologies for rant, but I feel really strongly about all this corruption and greed that we have had to put up with for so long.
blessings, lol

Nice piece of work!
I am definitely sure that this crypto ban has a secon bottom. It is so obvius that it always stic to the money. CEO of facbook just saw how many benefits are offered by steemit and other social media websites. Under the cover of safety and security of people before scams and money frauds there is a private business of not giving facebook clients to the others who may pay them for their sharing as Steemit etc. :)
am I right?

Zuckerberg is scared of the Winklevoss twins. First, they beat him up in court for stealing their idea. Then they become crypto billionaires and Zuckerberg wants to ban cryptos. Facebook is the man now. We need more decentralized social media

Could it be that Facebook is planning an ICO of their own Facebook token?
They want to remove the competition first and then go strong on promoting their own.

I think there is only one thing to remember when speaking about cryptos: Blockchain technology removes the need of a centrale authority.
What it means: Banks are no longer needed :))
