Kodak Miners?

The big surprise on this past CES 2018 was the Kodak's booth displaying a Bitcoin miner. The legendary camera company has had a weird evolution in the last years, loosing its primary market share to new the smartphone companies and new-comers like GoPro or similars, now has developed a new plan, migrate its technology and powerful infrastructure to the crypto world.

Kodak has announces a production of Bitcoin miners that are sold for $3,400 usd on a 2 year plan basis, which promises a $9000 usd profit at the current price, which still has not show much detail about how this licensing program exactly works.  Kind of a strange model if you ask me, but lets hope they have a very good product.

It comes with an ICO

Kodak announced their own Initial Coin Offering that plans to fund a "photographers empowering platform". A blockchain platform to secure the intellectual property of the pictures on internet to the average photographer.  The idea is that they have a search engine that could locate your photos wherever on the internet, recognize its proper owner and let the user know who is the photographer and offer a license payment made on the Kodak coin, so the transactions can be made instantaneously and easy for both parties, using the crypto Kodak service.

This might be giving everyone a cut for their material rights, give a chance for everyone to be a professional paid photographer maybe. The plans is start the sales to investors by the end of January.

valeu @biolegria!

Good to mention Kodak only 'gave' its permission to use their brand name.

Who is building the miners then? Because Wenn Digital that is the partner in mention is just doing the Kodak Coin platform. There are still many details that I coudlnt find answers to.

They were kicked off from the camera market haha

I see that Kodak Camera Industry resorted to the manufacture of mining equipment😉
Thanks for information 😊
Good luck my friend @albertogn👍

Do they plan to combine this with a tracking of place/time?
this would be a good way to counter fake news/ fake photos!
