To me, Ripple is to the crypto world like what rollerbladers are to the world of skating and skate parks.
When I was younger, skate boarding was a pretty cool thing to do, as was hanging out at the skate park, no surprise the two go hand in hand.
On any given day, the skate park population generally consisted of about 90-99% skateboarders, the remainder being roller bladers.
The two parties co-existed in peace, for the most part, although light shit-talking to and about rollerbladers by and among skatboarders was common. Never did the rollerbladers talk shit about the skateboarders, however.
Both groups knew and accepted, at some level of thier being, that skate boarding was and always would be way cooler and more hard core than roller blading ever could be. Roller blading was still OK, and still cooler than total non-skaters, as in those who did not rollerblade nor skateboard at all, but not by much.
Kind of like how XRP is a crypto, so it's at least cooler than fiat, but.. you know...
Not really that much cooler.
I might buy it and flip it here and there, but I'll always feel a lot less cutting edge than when I'm buying ETH or BTC, or any other crypto for that matter, except BCH which is the least cool of all.
BCH is like that one kid who showed up at the skate park on one of those ridiculous things that looked like a skateboard, but that you had to somehow wiggle around on, at which point it would sway back and fourth and self propel. That kid would have got his ass kicked eventually, for passing off such a ridiculous thing as a "skateboard," but his contraption broke on it's own due to sheer worthlessness before he could even hang around long enough to get roughed up in the least or even recieve a proper ridiculing.
So my question: How many of you Ripple fans are, were or someday hope to become roller bladers?
