Why I'll be adopting Crypto Currency as a payment in the tattoo studio

I've been a tattooer for well over a decade (and a half), long before that when I came out of school I was a software programmer, the good 'ol days when the internet was just peaking its' head out and to get online you had to visit an internet cafe because your dialup would fail most the time.

So I'd heard about Bitcoin years ago, in my lack of wisdom I didn't really do anything, there was so much new development going on, it was easy to let things pass you buy (damn I should've bought Microsoft shares too!!).

In the past year I've delved into the crypto currency world, in a way it ignites that old feeling of looking into code, seeing what new systems are on the horizon. And it's fun, like placing a bet.

Anyway I was reading a post on Twitter from Charlie Lee (the founder of LiteCoin) the other day and it kind of stuck with me.
I'm a fan of LiteCoin, fast transactions and a good choice for payments. Read it below.

It got me thinking, everyone's out to make a buck in crypto land at the moment but you know, he's right. If we really want to see adoption of crypto currencies in our life, if we really want to see people using it and investments going up, we need to use it, not just HODL it!
Now tattooing has traditionally been a cash only business but things are changing.

I'm mulling it over in my head but I think in the near future I'm going to start taking BitCoin, LiteCoin and Ethereum as payment for tattooing, not just the traditional hard cash. Hell, a lot of clients PayPal me deposits, or buy vouchers via email and use PayPal or bank transfers, some even pay me after the tattoo with it. On their phones, a few seconds later 'ping' my phone goes off with an email and it's done. No running to the ATM or having to withdraw the money before hand.

So why not crypto currency? At the very least by advertising it to them, letting them know it's a payment option, we'll get into a discussion about it, some may no absolutely nothing about cryptos, that's spreading the word right?
We can't rely on big businesses making the first step, we, the averages Joe's (it must suck to have the name Joe and hear this, sorry Joe Rogan) must also take a step towards it. Big business either forces something into your life or adopts it because you want it in your life, they're here to make a buck, no bias.

So yeah, I'm going to think about how it will work best and once I've figured it all out I'm going to do my little bit, or little satoshi, and help push the adoption of cryptos even if explaining it a thousand times to clients gives me a headache and the guys in the studio sigh hearing the same conversation all day.

If you've got a small business or a trade it might be worth considering, each day a small vendor accepts cryptos as payment we're a step closer to taking our lives and future out the hands of banks.

Peace out.
