Steem's strong performance amongst general carnage will be noticed by investors.
It may be caused by the whole Tron battle and major exchanges powering up and losing liquidity, but it will be positive for Steem nonetheless.

    Yes that could be the main underlying reason. I also have seen new accounts pop up in the last few weeks powering up massive amounts of Steem Power (such as @darthknight) out of genuine enthusiasm for Steem.
    I’m feeling good about all of this, not bad 😎
