As you may or may not know, Mobius will be one of the first tokens to list on Stellar (XLM) ICO platform and at the same time it has an ambitious plan to change the game. I've personally been all over Stellar for the past few months, not only for its gains which I believe are justified, low even, but for the simple fact that as soon as the initial Bitcoin mess works its magic people will start to look for altcoins that actually have a real use case. This truly is so for Stellar, as it has already partnered with IBM and a hefty bunch of other either major or interesting players in the crypto field. For the details of partnerships I suggest visiting stellar.org.
Stellar has the package everybody desires. It can currently handle 1000 transactions per second which compared to Ethereum, major ICO platform (7-14 transactions per second) is just over the top. Also, not only the amount of transactions are phenomenal, settlement happens in about 4-5 seconds. Combine all of this with the fact that hundreds of thousands of transactions can be made with a fraction of a penny instead of ridiculous fees that apply for Bitcoin or even for Ethereum (anywhere from 5-25$ per transaction) and you've got yourself a killer package. No wonder some of Ethereums ERC20 tokens, such as KIK's KIN token are being moved to a new platform where the network doesn't limit your possibilities. Instead it delivers you the platform on which to build on and thrive.
This is what Mobius is exactly intending to do. To leave the past behind and move on with the more technically advanced platforms. And it doens't stop there: it has plans to be the next big player in the crypto space as far as I am concerned. Imagine using traditional apps and services like Airbnb or Line messenger with additional benefits of the blockchain technology. This is essentially one of the keypoints that Mobius is offering. To be able to connect existing apps and services to blockchain, and make use of the capabilities that blockchain has compared to traditional means of sharing information and payments, and you've got yourself a efficient, cheap, secure and profitable combination. Not only that, Mobius interconnects these services so they can interact through the chain.
Like this wasn't great enough, Mobius offers these features as well: Machine to machine (m2m) micropayments, patent pending universal Proof of Stake Oracle protocol, near zero fees, scalability and a DApp store which is essentially a marketplace for apps and services built on or connected to Mobius etc. I highly suggest seeing their informative homepage at https://mobius.network.
Now, you've got Stellar running underneath, you're connecting old world to a new world, ambitious goal in itself. What would you still need in this journey through time and space? The short answer would be: Advisors. Mobius doesn't lack them, no way, but has an impressive advisor board behind it. How can it even fail with a group like that? Advisor board includes the following personnel: Jed McCaleb (co-founder of Stellar, Ripple), Chandler Guo ( blockchain start up angel investor, one of the biggest Bitcoin miners in China), Jackson Palmer (Creator of Dogecoin), Daniel Cawrey and Jack Lee and I believe with this impressive line up there should be more coming to their way. Not only that, they have already secured funding in millions, what should essentially secure the development of Mobius.
Mobius is soon ready to finish its ICO and then we'll see where it is heading. What an exciting time to be alive. Think of it what you will, but for me, this combination of Stellar and new innovative technology is truly impressive and I can't wait to see where they're heading.
So, will Mobius 'connect the world to the blockchain ecosystem' in your mind? Comment, discuss and like my posts if you wish to see more of them, and if you don't, i'll still like you. We are after all interested in the same field, going through the same changes, and watching the new world come together in front of us as we speak.
Cheers!
