1. A sector with big problems which needs to evolve
Email has become one of the most used forms of communication in the world. In today's society, email (with texting and social media) has even replaced landlines and postal mail, which were the mainstays of communication in the years 2000/2010. According to a study by the Radicati Group, dating from February 2017, 3.7 billion people have an email address and every day 269 billion emails are exchanged.
The marketing therefore seized very early this channel of diffusion / discussion. In B2B and B2C, more than 82% of companies use email as a preferred channel to communicate with their customers.
Except that, full of bad practices appeared at the same time as the explosion of its use: basic purchase of emails, mails (too) frequent, mails of bad qualities, ... It results of the sending of unsolicited mails, which are not only prohibited and generate huge amounts of mail sent to people who do not wish to receive them. The consequence ? Recipients face a huge spam problem and have lost confidence in this broadcast channel. As a result, the channel ROI has dropped dramatically and is well below what it should be.

2. A complete solution
EMMARES (abbreviation of EMail MArketing REwarding System) offers a platform based on blockchain and smart contracts whose goal is to revolutionize the email marketing sector. This revolution should lead to better content, less spam and only targeted campaigns.
The world of email marketing revolves around 2 populations: marketers who take care of emailing campaigns and the recipients targeted by these emailing campaigns.
The EMMARES platform has been developed taking into consideration the needs of these 2 populations. The platform promises to connect quality emails with recipients interested in these emails. Marketers and email recipients will mutually benefit from each other.
The received emails are evaluated! One of the most important points is to determine the quality of the received email. For this, the platform allows / asks the recipients of emails to evaluate the emails they receive. For each email evaluated, the recipient will receive, as a reward, a certain amount in EMA tokens. In addition to recipient ratings, the platform uses powerful antispam filters that will automatically ban low quality emails.
The reputation of the marketers: with each email evaluated, the reputation of the marketer will be updated and will increase / decrease according to the evaluation received. The higher the reputation of the marketer, the more email recipients will be inclined to subscribe to his emailing campaigns. If ever a marketer's reputation goes down, the platform will be able to offer a replacement marketer.
Campaign targeting: For better targeting, email recipients will be able to customize their targeting preferences based on their interests and region. These preferences allow the system to create accurate targeting and improve the ROI of marketing campaigns.

Concretely, how does the EMMARES workflow work?
The EMMARES platform is based on the evaluation of emails by the recipients and the reward of this work.
The workflow of the EMMARES system is as follows:
The marketer invested in a "pool rewarding", which corresponds to the fees charged by the platform and the tokens which will be used to reward the recipients of emails that evaluate the received emails. It's when the pool is created that a smart contract is created in the blockchain.
The recipients evaluate the quality of the received email and is rewarded for its action by a certain number of EMA tokens coming from the pool created by the marketer. This notice will be stored in the blockchain.
Recipient evaluations are taken into account as long as the pool is not empty. Once the pool is empty, the recipient will still be able to evaluate the email but will no longer be rewarded as an EMA token. Its score will not be taken into account for the calculation of the quality score of the campaign. In this way, recipients will be motivated to evaluate emails quickly by giving their impressions shortly after receiving the email.
Recipients can then (re) sell the tokens gleaned from marketers or exchange them for Ethers or bitcoins on decentralized exchanges.
The GAS and service fees charged for each campaign correspond to the cost of transactions in blockchain as well as the service charges.

4. A great team
The project was (co) founded by five people from various sectors (technical, advertising, marketing, ...): Bojan Oremuž (CEO), Denis Orešnik (Developer), Tadej Oremuž (Developer), Jure Tovrljan (Creative Design & Advertising) and Taja Oremuž (Graphic Design & Marketing).
More than these founders, are added 9 people who are technical profiles, Ambassador and the Bounty manager.
The team look pretty solid with these multiple skills and expéeriences.
