Using your blockchain skills on a freelance, part time or even full time basis is an exciting prospect. It could not only serve to boost your income, but provide a further outlet to pursue your blockchain interests in an industry that looks like it’s only going to grow. Here are several of the best websites to find jobs in Crypto and Blockchain.

Job Boards

Digital Currency Group

The Digital Currency Group describe themselves as ‘the epicenter of the blockchain and bitcoin industry’. Among several resources on their site they have a job board that features job postings from a variety of different blockchain companies. These are not just limited to programming and software development, but also feature administration, accounting and customer service roles amongst others. You can also filter these roles by company, topic, and location.

Cointelegraph Jobs Board

Much like a traditional print or indeed online newspaper, Cointelegraph has a dedicated jobs page. Albeit it advertises jobs relating to blockchain. You can filter by location, role, keywords and role type to narrow down your search and has a good mixture of roles including remote, freelance, onsite and full time. You even have some “big names” like Kraken and Brave listing on there.
Cryptojobs

This is a great job board where the majority of the listings are for remote work, meaning you can do them from almost anywhere (with a good internet connection)! There are usually around 1500 active job listings at any one time and there a variety of roles you can search for. When we looked they had several postions in high demand including marketers, content writers, programmers and community managers.

Crypto Jobs List

This jobs site claims to have slightly over a 1000 job listings available. Common job titles include, remote, community, solidity, analyst amongst many more. Jobs are listed chronologically, handily starting with the current day at the top moving down to those posted the previous weeks and months. As well as being able to narrow your search by keyword, location and role type, the website also has a useful company profiles section. Here you can learn about businesses that are hiring at a glance getting a feeling of their company culture and background.

Jobs On Chain

Recently rebranded (formerly known as Jobs in Crypto), this is a weekly news letter that posts a summarised listing of jobs available in cryptocurrency and blockchain. All you have to do is sign up with your desired email address or go to their website directly. Although they don’t feature a large number of open positions, they do sort them into categories making it easier to find what you want. If you miss a week, you can always look in their archive to find relatively recent jobs in previous posts.

Blockchain Job Board

This job board advertises a wide variety of positions in the blockchain industry and is kept up to date regularly. You can narrow your search down via the advanced search feature by keyword, location, job type and date posted.

Blockchain Dev Jobs

This is a really good site for blockchain developers and engineers who can find jobs here covering a variety of companies. The positions on here are kept up to date well, and you can sign up for job email alerts.

Cryptocurrency Jobs

This site has a range of postions available from developer to marketer. Perhaps most helpfully, however, is the list of companies it provides. Whilst not all companies will have open positions, it can serve as a useful reference point for looking at businesses you would be interested in working for. Then you could keep an eye on them for when positions do come up or send a speculative letter.

Example Companies

Although the list below is not exhaustive, we thought we would provide some example company websites and organisations that you could go to directly.

Coinbase

This cryptocurrency exchange has a careers section that lists onsite job openings across its San Francisco (USA), New York (USA), Portland (USA), London (United Kingdom), Dublin (Republic of Ireland), and Tokyo (Japan) offices. You can search open positions by office or by team. Most of the available positions are for their San Francisco offices, however.

Kraken

Kraken is another cryptocurrency exchange that has a careers section, that covers a variety of departments in a number of its international offices. These include locations in the United States, the United Kingdom, East Asia and several countries across continental Europe.

Aeternity

This is a blockchain startup that aims to be a generalist in the smart contract arena. We chose this to provide examples of just the roles blockchain start-ups look for. In fact it isn’t just programmers. At the time of writing Aeternity’s job page on Angelist was advertising for administrative, marketing, accounting as well as programming roles. They also had a posting where you could apply specutatively worldwide. In other words if you want to contribute in some way you can pitch your skills to them. They can then see if they have anything available or keep you in mind if something comes up.

Cardano Foundation, Input Output Hong Kong, and Emurgo

These companies form the three pillars of another blockchain called Cardano that is in its early stages of development. Looking through the career pages of these sites (at the time of writing) we found that they were looking for people with a variety of different skill sets. These included programming, translation, business analysis and amongst others.

We hope you found this article on the best websites to find jobs in crypto and blockchain helpful. The blockchain industry is still very new, and demand for candidates outstrips supply. So now is the perfect opportunity to look to securing a role.
