Why Steem Is Going To Reach 100$ A Coin In A Couple Years.

in cryptocurrency •  7 years ago

I have only been using Steemit for 6 days and I have come to find out that this platform will revolutionize social media. It will drive away users from all types of platforms and bring them to Steemit, honestly i don't even use twitter or snapchat anymore ever since I started using Steemit, and I used to spend a lot of time on those! We use social media every day, so why not get paid for it in a cryptocurrency that will rise in value. This community is great and very supportive, I rarely ever see any negativity unlike Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc, also you don't even get paid to use those platforms, all you gain is popularity, which means nothing. This user base is growing everyday and many youtubers are making videos about why this platform is so great and while they do that it helps this platform grow, personally i can't see why someone would stop using this platform, can you? If you have a couple hundred dollars laying around, BUY STEEM. Thank you for taking time to read this post!

It might take a while. Most people believe they want change but actually, fear it.

Essentially steemit.com is at the very least FB without ads (of course it is so much more than that).

Some people live in the box, some people are comfortable in there, and some even rely on it. Congratulations, on not being one of them.

Cheers,

Fish

thanks for the feedback!

I hope that day comes - but it might take a while.

SteemIt is great, its only a matter of time before it goes viral.

100 dollars? That would be nice haha

@cryptotraderx what about sbd?

I agree platforms like these should be the norm. Competition should happen between platforms not users. The more active users, the more popular the platforn. What better way is there to reward users than to credit them currency that powers n steems the platform.

agreed!

I agree with you that Steem - as opposed to SteemDollars - will be worth quite a bit more in the very near future. It is already a great platform and this is only the Beta. It is obvious that the creators of the site have utilized the advent of blockchain technology in a way that could radically change the way we view social media in the future.

Steemit, however; will not work as a successful substitute to the microblog forms of social media such as Twitter, whose purpose is to provide brief/concise content to its users in a 140 character or less style format. The video-streaming capabilities of Facebook, as well as the atmosphere of professionalism created by LinkedIn will be difficult hurdles to overcome if Steemit wishes to become the dominant social media platform.

This is not to suggest that Steemit will not be successful as a pioneer in the social media space. I think they will be very successful in that respect. The Steemit team has a very long way to go before they can go toe-to-toe with their already-established competitors.

This was all around a good post! I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on the subject.

yeah i agree, it wont take away tons of twitter and facebook users, although it did to me lol, but i think it will be the leading forum on the internet and will probably be bigger than reddit

Just to play devil's advocate: what do you think would happen to the number of daily active users on Steemit if other social media platforms decided to adopt a similar content reward system?

i don't think it would change, because other platforms won't give you a currency that is bound to rise in value, and they wouldn't give you as much as steemit gives you!

When you get paid for authoring or curating on Steemit.com, you are being paid in Steem Dollars. The entire idea behind the Steem Dollar is that it is not subject to price fluctuations due to exchange rates. This allows the Steem Dollar to be used as a kind of global currency and provide financial services to the billions of people in the world who are currently going without.

The currency you are talking about is STEEM, and it does appreciate in value, however; it is a token that is only paid out to those who mine transactions executed with Steem Dollars in order to verify/add them to the Steem blockchain.

That being said, there is nothing stopping a major social media platform from making the switch to blockchain verified content rewards other than a bunch of wrinkly, old board members, and millions of share holders that don't understand the technology.

I apologize if that came off as sounding harsh. I sincerely only meant for it to be informative.

Even if it's at $5 or what it is now it's more than what I made on Instagram which was 0 ☺️

exactly, good point!

Can't wait for that to happen. I can picture it now. getting me excited. I know, buy more Steem Power.

thats the way to do it

it's exciting to hope for that one day!
