Coinbase Intends To Add Support For ERC20 Tokens

Coinbase announced today that they are going to support Ethereum ERC20 standard tokens on the exchange in the coming months.

Coinbase will only list assets which are already listed on GDAX.

However, Coinbase may choose to support assets after evaluating factors such as price stability, liquidity & other market health metrics.

This means that GDAX listing does not guarantee Coinbase listing.

This move will also pave the way for other Coinbase products such as Coinbase Custody and Coinbase Asset Management to add support for ERC20 tokens.

HBO Featured Coinbase In The Hit Comedy Series Silicon Valley

HBO's comedy series Silicon Valley has added the logo of Coinbase in its opening title intro which is inspired in an animated sitcom back in the 60s, Jetsons.

The addition of the exchange's logo would mean that cryptocurrencies could become a theme in the series and reach a lot of audiences across North America, Poland, Finland and Ireland.

Recently, a hit Hollywood show Big Bang Theory also put Bitcoin into spotlight in their bitcoin-themed episode.
