Here's a music video I found, that encapsulates pretty well what I'm HODLING long-term for.
The current arc of Western Civilization has a point

Our rapid increase in technological complexity at the expense of the biosphere has a point

When a species transforms itself for the biggest step it will ever take, it's raw, chaotic, turbulent, messy...as birth always is

But countless generations from now, our distant relatives safely arrayed on countless worlds will look back and say....

"Thank you for bearing the burden of your time. It was worth it"
