It's just tipped. All you have to do is join the site, and they automatically provide a certain amount you tip with your upvotes each day. Your first upvote each day is generally worth about six cents, for example. It decreases with each vote until it gets reset the next day. The upvoter keeps a share of that upvote, which the upvoter gets to choose between 80% and 0%, with the rest going to the author. Signing up is easy, you just set up a normal password, and much faster than Steemit.
