OKEx Technology Co., one of the world's largest crypto-coin traders on coinmarketcap.com, decided to establish itself in Malta, following in the footsteps of Binance, another industry giant, which announced last month that it would open an office, in Malta, the Bloomberg news agency reported.

Malta is trying to build a digital economy and position itself as a natural destination for this business. This approach contrasts with tightening regulation in many countries, from the United States to India. Even Japan has been more cautious with this market after a customer lost $ 500 million due to hackers.

In statements to Bloomberg, OKEx CEO Chris Lee said the government of Malta "is thinking about the future". According to coinmarketcap.com, the company traded $1.8 billion in the last 24 hours.
