As you can see in the definition of a startup above, startups face a lot of challenges from the initial funding, despite the potential for growth.
They have difficulty hiring expert employees and running their businesses on a small scale Because they don't have the funds they need in the early days.
There are also many challenges in achieving success even though they have innovative technologies, ideas, and good products, as lot of financial support is needed to promote and advertise their technology and products.
To solve this difficulty, startups ask help from governmental fund or bank loans. However, to be honest it is impossible for an early startup to receive governmental fund or bank loans because there are no data to proof their sales nor financial statements to estimate their value.
Existing small business need to have at least three years of sales and growth in the financial statements to start judging probability of loans. Therefore funding is a huge homework that startups need to solve.
Every time the government changes its regime, they releases money under the name of its policy of promoting small businesses, but those funding hardly ever goes for early startups that are actually in need.
The investment that we make by recognizing the value of a promising startup in the early days of business is like a lifesaver that can't be replaced by anything.
