Is Litecoin undervalued?
Looking at 24 hour trading volumes:
- Litecoin: $330,980,000
- Bitcoin: $1,037,700,000
Bitcoin has around 3.5X more volume. Now, let's take a look at the circulating supply of each:
- Litecoin: 51,681,132 coins
- Bitcoin: 16,407,062 coins
Bitcoin also wins in terms of scarcity, with approximately 3X less coins circulating.
Based solely on these two figures, the price of Litecoin should be 3*3.35 times less than that of Bitcoin - roughly one tenth. This would price Litecoin at around $270 at the time of writing.
This should be taken with a grain a salt because there are many other factors to consider. However, I think this analysis is interesting and I'd love to hear what the crypto community thinks about this.
