Steemit Run by a Substratum Network

Imagine a world where no government or corporation could restrict the voice of the global population. Imagine if we all could tap into platforms and have our voice heard, only limited by the quality of a grassroots meritocracy.

It seems to me the holy grail of a free society would be to secure the free exchange of information sharing. Steemit is already laying down the front end face of that. The next step is to pair the decentralized hosting platform of Substratum, in essence using all of our computer networks to broadcast our websites.

Is this just a pipedream or are we approaching the end of meritless hierarchy? I want to hear your thoughts

In this current situation, everyone with enough STEEM Power can kinda "silence" you. But let's say the situation improves , I certainly think that people want this freedom, but also a lot of people don't really care. I think that it might take a lot more time for average users to appreciate the freedom.

Interesting. There will most likely never be a 'one-website does all'. It will be interesting to see how few internet safety nets we will need in the future. I'm curious to see if the communities that go off-grid (energy and governance) can power themselves without any traditional fiat dependence whatsoever. My friend Xavier Hawk is developing a pretty amazing idea. To start the 'crypto-wooffing' platform for real villages. So we could have a network of places we can stay out with our phireon currency. Like the ecoresort AirBnB type of enterprise.
