Have you heard about JSE Coin?
It's a new coin that uses a new algorithm mined through Javascript. The idea is that webmasters install the code onto their websites and the users browsing the website mine the coin through the Javascript code.
Take a look and register at JSE Coin for more information on the white paper and exactly how the Javascript code works.
Practical Uses?
I have been in touch directly with the lead developer and suggested that he created an iframe that webmasters can use to implement the mining of JSE for their users directly from their site.
My idea here is to give users a reason to visit and stay on the sites, they get to mine a little JSE while the webmaster gets the background hashing + advertising revenue.
I also asked about a faucet script with the developer and he did inform me that he is currently working on one. This I believe could be a very good reason to use JSE Coin, it allows the webmasters to keep 100% of advertising revenue and the faucet payments come out of the users Javascript background mining. This I think is an extremely good idea as giving faucet owners 100% of their advertising revenue will help a lot and also I believe it is anti-bot in nature where the visit needs to be real to start the mining.
What are your thoughts to this? Do you think it's a good idea? Do you think it will be widely adopted by webmasters for monetisation purposes?
Negatives
Like everything there are a few negatives as sites with lots of traffic will dominate the mining, however when the faucet script is introduced it will give users a reason to visit smaller webmaster sites and thus increasing their traffic.
IP / Bots - As I mentioned I do not think that ghost hits count for this and the dev informed me that their are protections in place to stop same IP's from multi tabbing etc.
Price - Will it even be worth 1 Satoshi when it ico's? I personally have no idea and would love for your guys thoughts here. I do know that there are a total of 2000 JSE to be mined every day.
I personally think that there will be a few bugs to begin with but if we all register with JSE Coin and send them our feedback, then we should be able to fix the bugs before it ico's.
