Russia develops a "green" cryptocurrency
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency are harmful to the environment - a huge amount of energy is being spent for mining, which is not extracted from alternative sources. "All-Russian People's Front" proposed to create a currency based on green technologies. Its production will not damage the environment.
Representatives of the ONF note that the new crypto currency will be provided with environmentally friendly technologies.
To implement the project, ONF intends to obtain from the Russian authorities the consolidation of the concepts of "mining" and "crypto-currency" in the legal field. For this, the initiative needs to be brought to the legislative level and legalized the "green" crypto currency, TASS writes.
It is worth noting that "green" crypto-currencies already exist. For example, EDRCoin (E-Dinar Coin) appeared in the spring of 2016. Its mining are powered by solar-powered facilities.
