What is Bitcoin Mining? Explained.

Hello, my name is Isaac. I take it that you have some sort of interest in this thing called "Bitcoin Mining". A while ago I started mining bitcoins. I found out that it is a very slow process and you will probably make about 5-6 dollars per day (if you have the proper equipment).

-What is a Bitcoin?
Bitcoins are a cryptocurrency, which basically means money generated on the internet that can be transferred into real money.
As of 2017/06/16 just one bitcoin is worth $3274.81 CAD. That's a lot! Now you may ask why the Bitcoin is worth so much. It's worth so much because there is only a limited amount of them.

-How do I mine Bitcoins?
Mining bitcoins is simple, but first you will need some gear. The first method of bitcoin mining -and probably the slowest and least profitable- is CPU mining. The second method is GPU mining. And the third method would be to go out and buy some gear specifically made for bitcoin mining. Next you will need a BTC wallet. To get one of those simply go to this link (https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet) and then sign up for a bitcoin wallet. The website will guide you through all the steps.
Now once you have your gear and a bitcoin wallet you can get started! So first you will need a program to mine with. If you're a beginner I would suggest something like GUI Miner. It's a very simple program that should explain itself.

-Having Trouble?
If you are having troubles mining bitcoins, have no fear. There is a very great tutorial I found on YouTube that will explain everything in as much detail as possible. Here it is:

-Profit
In order to profit off of mining bitcoins you will definitely need to invest some money into getting good gear. It will still take a while to make profit but it is very possible.
