So the prices have dropped, people are freaking out all over the internet.
Dooms day!
Crypto has dropped! OMG, What now?
Is there going to be another Great Depression? PROBABLY NOT!
Is the world going to come to an end? PROBABLY NOT!
Are there going to be people committing suicide because of major losses they couldn't afford? MAYBE!
After all, when all those "forking forks" were happening, which I like to compare to the federal governments out there printing more money, many articles and posts on the internet wrote about people getting money via all sorts of means, anything from selling properties, to getting mortgages and all sorts of other loans, all hopping on the "forking fork" bandwagons!
I'm no expert, never claimed to be one, but I have been looking at the charts for the past half a year, have been reading up on Crypto like it was the only thing on this earth that I ever wanted to know anything about.
Every January time frame, every year prices drop.
So, why is this any different to the prior years?
Probably because of all the media hype, all the increase in numbers and the craziness during the "forking forks".
All of these things make this January seem different to all the other January's of years gone past.
HOWEVER, while some are freaking out, here I am hoping that Steem drops back to $1 (USD).
WHY?
So I can buy some more at $1 and simply calculate the profits during this year on a ratio to 1 "x:1" or should I shout out in joy X multiplied by the number I invested with a grand old greenback $ sign in front of it!!!!!
WHOOOAAA!!!!!
So, while I read all these charts and explanations and all the predictions and new Crypto versions of The Mayan Calendar, I'm sitting back and enjoying the show.....
Still have to admit that I would love to see Steem and SBD offered on the USD markets, rather than having to go out and buy Bitcoin to buy more Steem, but what the heck, a few bucks in costs won't break the budget!
Sittin' back and chilling out!
Enjoying some of my favourite tunes, looking forwards to the opportunities that are going to be out there!
Jack
The fluctuations are so big and fast that I have almost given up on writing about them since by the time I finish writing the opposite thing is happening, or the Korean government has changed their mind, or something else is happening. I'm with you, chilling, playing guitar, etc.

Once you've seen the same thing a couple dozen time, you quit stressing and just laugh at everyone's panic. -50% drop is a common theme of crypto. I too would love to see Steem back under a $1, but I don't know if we will get that lucky again.

Smart people always take advantage of chaotic situations, this is the time to be cool-headed and invest more in the cryptos that you trust, I do not recommend this to anyone, much less the fearsome and dramatic who succumb to the euphoria of the market, it's just what I do personally.
I would also like the Steem to go down a bit, although being honest, it is not currently expensive.

Hey Jack, it’s good to read another voice of reason in the midst of this market shitstorm.
As you say, really nothing has changed and it’s just funny that the shithouse mainstream, tabloid news love negatives rather than positives so the reporting has gone into overdrive.
Today’s bounce is a good example. Where did the TV reporting go? HODL! 😎
