OPEN LEDGER: ACCOUNT MODEL IS BROKEN AND YOU HAVE MY MONEY

I recently made an account on Open Ledger using their new "account model". Looking foward to buying peerplays tokens I sent about $1500 to the account. Ok awesome! Now im ready to trade....But wait...

Then I thought to myself... Fuck me! I must have copied the wrong password ! But how could it be???? Then I made another account...Using the same password...And then I knew it wasnt me because it gave me the same response!

Of coarse what am I to do but go through their FAQ's and News ? And this is what I found....

WTF? The worst part is the SNEWDY answer they give me in the FAQS!

My password isnt changing by itself? YOU BITCH! if this is a FAQ CLEARLY its open ledgers fault and not mine!!!

I hope DAN sees this cause im pissed off! Im waiting for support to respond but they need to make a fix immediately or at least disable the account model!

Here is more PROOF people are going through the same problem!

I have the same problem. The password I have been using from day one ob openledger stop working.

Hopefully they will resolve it soon, annoying but im sure they will be flexible, it being a problem for many.

I reinstalled my backup. The back up accepted my password. So great I thought problem solved. But no. The password still will not unlock my wallet. And updates you can provide would mean a lot. Thanks.

I contacted support and they responded. They told me to try bitshares.org/wallet - this did not work for me. Im waiting for another response. Luckily I used my first and middle name which is on my photo I.D. which they requested. I would try and email them [email protected]

I was able to fix the problem be installing my OpenLedger backup onto https://bitshares.org/wallet. I don't know why installing my backup won't work at https://openledger.io/. Hope this info will help

I hope you have been well brother @jacobards - I have faith everything should work out. Just take a deep breath relax. I think you should take a min to clear you head reflect on the steps you took. @jacobards OpenLedger is a great service so im sure they will be in touch soon with you.

Thanks! Im not that worried about it honestly! At first I was freaking lol, but its no big deal im sure they will reverse the transaction. I think they should be more likely to take the blame however. They seem to be ignoring the problem and putting the blame on the users, which isnt right. These things happen but they could address it more appropriately.

i had a few loggin issues because i picked the save wallet thing i kept forgeting to import it then login lol what a headache im so used to just logging in on login

Sounds like something that should not be happening and it does sound like something they are more likely to be at fault for. Still, I think you are very likely to have the transaction reversed and getting your money back. Keep us posted :)
