Overview of Cloakcoin’s shield in 4K (video)

CloakShield is designed to secure both Enigma and decentralized CloakCoin applications, and will provide protection from snoopers (man in the middle) and imposters (sybil attack).

CloakShield provides secure communications between nodes on the Cloak network using symmetric RSA encryption backed by an Elliptic Curve Diffie Hellman key exchange (ECDH). What am i talking about? I'm not sure but, this is how I understand it and will try to keep it simple.

Lets start out with each key has RSA encryption built in them. Everyone on the network has two keys, a public key and a private key for this to work. First you agree upon a starting point on the elliptic curve. Next you will pick a private key times the starting point to bob. Then bob will pick his private key and send you his times the starting point. By having the others private key times the starting point, you times your private key will get you the Diffie-Hellman key. Now you both have the same key. Now you can send the top secret key and bob can unlock the box to get the symmetic RSA key that is are top secret key.

Now cloak adds 'onion routing' help nodes to communicate indirectly to other nodes. This hampers attempts at determining which nodes are communicating with each other or which nodes submitting transactions to the CloakCoin network. Enigma network, has no exit nodes for CloakShield to use. It can use any node in the network at that time.

Each encrypted layer can only be decrypted by the intended relay [for which the specific layer was encrypted]. After decrypting a layer, the relay passes the data to the next relay node. This continues it until the data reaches its intended node.

Let's use cloakcoin’s illustration to help us understand the process better. Alice is onion routing a message to Bob via Catherine, Dan and you. Remember everyone with Cloak wallet open will be talking back and forth. Enigma nodes used for this illustration, are unlocked computers for minting with CloakCoins.

Alice first finds out all nodes on the network. Now remeber she will be getting Diffie-Hellman keys for each one. Then she puts Bob message into the tiny box with bob's name on it. Then puts it in a small box with your name on it. Then puts it in a medium box with Dan’s name on it. Then puts it in a large box with Catherine name on it.

Now Alice will send off this box to Catherine. She will open box to see that she has a box to send to Dan. He opens the box to see that he needs to send to you. You will open the box and see you will have to send it to Bob. Now Bob opens the box to find the top secret key. Now this will happen again using diffent people to tranfer the the info. Once Bob gets the enigma info later he can unlock it with the key then decrypt it with enigma.
