EOS Token Sale ico

A close friend got in on the EOS Token Sale during the initial period and got tokens for about $0.78 each. They are now trading on bitfinex for around $1.00.

Disclaimer: A lot of the chat about this token sale is that it is a scam so don't put in any money you can't afford to lose completely. My friend is getting in and out, not doing anything long term in case the value of the token goes to $0.00.

There are 351 offering periods lasting for 350 more days (a loooong ico!)

http://eosscan.io/ shows the offering periods and how much the investors paid per token, and how much the value of the token is for the next 350 buying periods.

The http://eosscan.io/ site says tokens in the initial period were $0.80, but my calculations showed my friend paid closer to $.078 so the discrepancy may be due to variations in the price of ethereum used to buy in.

The EOS token sale is not open to US Residents, and the website does block you from proceeding if it detects a US IP address. There is a telegram chat group called icocountdown where people were saying that US residents got in just fine using the tor browser which masks IP addresses.
