Is STEEM "Made In America"?

From a lawyer's perspective, the answer to this question is simple: Where you pay your taxes is where your country is.
How much tax has Steem paid to the US government?
Zero?
Therefore, its connection to "Made in the USA" is zero.
And the fact that Larimer wrote the code for Steem in the basement of an American city means nothing.
For example, I wear red panties, the color of the Chinese flag. But that doesn't mean I'm Chinese. I only like this color of panties.

I don't think those lists are using that definition in their criteria. One of the tokens that is included in both is LTC. Also, I would have to guess that Steem's founders and other early whales paid a fair bit in taxes as a result of their STEEM holdings.

Maybe...
Maybe...
However, I, in turn, am also inclined to assume that the "founders and whales" of Steem created this project in order to avoid paying taxes to the US government.
And this applies to all crypto projects whose main goal is to escape government control.
What is the point of this search for "kinship" now, if the creators themselves have expressed their clear and unambiguous desire not to have it?

And vice versa: would you want to continue to be so loyal to Steem if these studies prove that you are actually in the public service of the US government?
