Nucleus Vision – ICO Review

in cryptocurrency •  7 years ago  (edited)

(I am not a financial advisor. This is not financial advice. Please DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!)

Nucleus Vision is an IoT based, contactless identification system that empowers retailers to identify and better serve their customer.

Since finding crypto I’ve reviewed a myriad of ICOs, most of which are (at best) poor or (at the worst) a scam. It seems like every man and his dog are jumping on the ICO bandwagon, attempting to raise money for a half arsed idea presented in a Whitepaper with not even a prototype to show for it. In my opinion, Nucleus Vision is different. They appear to be legit and it’s an ICO I’m pretty excited about.

Problem
Current data collated by retail (and other industry) is very often siloed, meaning that this data can’t be leveraged to optimise the customer’s shopping experience.

“The full potential of connected devices is only achieved when they are tied to individual identities.”
Gartner Report, The Identity of Things for IoT

Solution
Imagine shopping and having the store know exactly what you like and what you might be after. They approach you (digitally through your smartphone after identifying you using Nucleus Vision’s ION proprietary IoT sensor) and politely ask if they can help you. It’s your decision if you share your data via Nucleus Vision (utilising ORBIT, Nucleus Vision’s blockhain information exchange) using nothing more than the 3G or 4G network on your smartphone. By sharing your data you can earn nCash (a cryptocurrency based loyalty and redemption utility token) which can be redeemed with any of Nucleus Vision’s partners. You can even earn more nCash tokens by purchasing from Nucleus Vision’s partners.

From a retailer perspective, this allows targeted offerings to the consumer, increasing ROI and conversion.

Current State of Product
Nucleus Vision technology is currently being used in 10 retail stores with large expansion planned for 2018 and beyond. Anybody that follows me knows I like at least a prototype product and the fact Nucleus Vision is operational gets a massive green light from me.

Team
The team currently consists of 40 members:
• 10 blockchain developers
• 5 data scientists
• 1 IoT platform architects
• 4 marketers
• 9 engineeers
• 11 operations members

CEO / Founder – Abhishek Pitti
Abhishek is a Harvard Business School student who dropped out to follow his passion with Nucleus Vision. I don’t mind this. It means he has ‘skin in the game’ and is going after what he wants. You can read more about his passion for Nucleus and why he dropped out of Harvard here.....

I watched an ‘AMA’ which Abhishek had recently with Ian Balina on YouTube. To say I was impressed with his passion, vision and knowledge is an understatement. You can watch that interview here.....

(

).

Abishek also has experience in managing large scale projects in which he has led large teams, developed new technology and streamlined operational activities resulting in significant increases in efficiency. He has founded a technology start-up, increasing revenue and expanding operations in India, United States and Canada.

Retail Partnerships Expert – Martin Dudley
Martin has a long history in sales, marketing and customer engagement in both retail and technology sectors. He has worked in key marketing roles for large companies such as Levi Strauss, Petrol Jeans, Progreso Financiero and I’m sure he will leverage the contacts made in these positions whilst at Nucleus Vision.

CTO – Avinash Pitti
Avinash has relevant development and blockchain experience and has worked at large corporations such as Bank of America, BP, Siemens and Philips.

Director of Telecom Partnerships – Nishtha Rohatgi
It’s obvious from the partnerships already in place that Nishtha has been getting results. She previously worked in senior management and business development roles with large telecommunications companies and I’m sure given contacts she cultivated during this time and knowledge of the industry she will continue to form strong partnerships for Nucleus.

Director of Business Operations – Chandra Sekhar
Chandra may be the weak link. He only has his Nucleus Vision experience listed in his employment history on LinkedIn but on the website indicates he has been employed at Wyeth (a large pharmaceutical company) and Applied Materials (a global electronics engineering company developing innovative electronics products). Several Google searches were unsuccessful in confirming any employment history at these companies. I also attempted to reach out to Chandra on LinkedIn so he could verify his credentials however at the time of writing he has not responded.

Token Metrics
Full token metrics unavailable until the Whitepaper is released.
Hard Cap - $40,000,000
nCash tokens – 10,000,000,000
nCash token price - $0.01

Things I Like
• Technology already live in 10 retail stores
• Strong team (currently 40 members) with relevant industry and blockchain experience
• Solid advisory panel
• Proprietary technology
• Users are incentivized, driving up demand for tokens
• Large community which is building with minimal paid marketing (6,600+ Telegram members, 3,000+ Twitter followers)
• Hard cap reduced from $60M to $40M after taking advice from their advisors
• Current partnerships with large corporations (Vodafone, Reliance Communications (one of the largest ISP in India), Radisys, Intel and !dea)
• Realistic roadmap supported by current partnership building through team and advisors
• Multi-faceted business model with numerous revenue streams in multiple industries
• Large market

Things I Don’t Like
• A large number of blockchain technology companies and enterprises entering the IoT ecosystem
• Increase in e-commerce decreasing purchases at physical retail outlets
• Experience of the Director of Business Operations is unclear and cannot be corroborated
• Whitepaper not yet released however due for release the week following Christmas

Will I Be Investing?
I want to know what the token metrics and fund allocation is before I make a final decision. Having said that I REALLY like the concept so I’m hoping it adds up. If it does then I’ll be going in HEAVY on this one!!!

Thank you for the information! Helpful~

it's fake DO NOT BUY

why do you think it is fake? would you mind to explain?

Lol, this project is gold. Don't listen to the fudder.

I really don't like the team. Very weak with little to no experience and connections. The success of this project is very contingent on your ability to attract major retail brands and I doubt this team can pull that off any time soon.

NCASH released on Binance a few days ago. Did you make a decision? In or out? I made a small Hail Mary investment on it but haven't gone all in (yet).
