A recent report written by Jeremy Rubin and published on Techcrunch has argued that although the Ethereum network will be successful, the ETH token will become worthless. Rubin argues that paying for ‘gas’ in ETH creates a number of issues, and it would be more beneficial to simply accept all tokens as payment.
Buterin has replied stating that the report has several economic and technical flaws, and that a better solution would be to use “intermediate solutions, where third parties create “wrapper transactions” that take the fees…provide ETH to the block proposer”.
Love that Vitalik is always willing to call out journalists.
