I'm from Venezuela and we are on our way to the fraudulent presidential election that is not going to be recognized by many goverments in the world even if the "opposition" candidate wins.

I would like to see votes being made on blockchain to avoid frauds some day.

Talking about real life application there.
Cheers and good power to you and your people.
May corruption in voting one day end (or at least weaken extremely).

Thank you, I believe my country will pass from this.

I hope to visit your country in the future and celebrate the success with all.

El problema es que los socialistas tengan el poder. Blockchain no pudiera cambiar los socialistas.

We are in the age of technology, blockchain technology, things are evolving everyday, innovative technologies adopting the blockchain ability gets better everyday, in time, people will begin to have their identities stored on the blockchain, fingerprints, all data, it will definitely affect politics in terms of consensus and transparency

In my understanding of blockchain, it is a very transparent technology that doesn't require middlemen. It uses peers to validate transactions and validity of them. It will disrupt politics in big corporations in the way that consumers won't need to rely on them.

I can clearly imagine Steemit system, not necessarily steemit platform, will be used as not only voting for politicians, but some way of raising money as well. I totally agree with you when it come to universal basic income. I think it is already in the books written, it’s just a matter of time when it happens and whether crypto will be involved, which I think it will.

With current example of Venezuela in mind a person can visualize the use of Blockchain Technology in the future of politics. My hope is that it would provide a more honest voice a proverbial loudspeaker in the realm of politics. We need people of integrity to step up in the political arena and I think such folks would willingly adopt blockchain as a part of their political growth once the true potential of it becomes visible.

blockchain will make voting transparent

Cryptographic techniques together with distributed ledgers make it possible to eliminate fraud while maintaining privacy. Zero knowledge proofs enable provably correct results without any breach of privacy.

This is a very interesting topic blockchain will contribute and change the face of politics, due to decentralization status, and many countries have embrace this.

I voted using the blockchain yesterday for a proposal in the Smartcash community for the first time. It was easy and it's secure. My wallet give me a unique 'signature' to vote with. I think a similar system would work for government elections.

Blockchain technology will surely improve the outlook of politics. There have been really great initiatives on the Blockchain lately. More to surely come.

Looking like blockchain transform pretty much everything :-)

The most notable thing in my opinion would be the use of cryptocurrencies and how their security works, the approach and familiarization of more people with decentralized systems and much more investors and entrepreneurs willing to invest.

For me when you look at deficiencies in all political systems it is all about small cliques or special interest groups exercising power by controlling and restricting information, money, and thereby your personal sovereignty. Block-chain empowers people through the transparency of the immutable ledger, exposing in plain sight the antics of those who would game the system and connecting people in way that has never been done before. Once people gain sovereignty over their money I think they will also start demanding that their government is truly accountable.

Well this platform is transparent and anyone can see the transaction. It is corruption free as no one can hide there money.
The politics is all about, money and power, and here on blockchain everyone has there power and they can see what is going on.

Blockchain Tech has probably the biggest use cases in so many sectors. that's why i am investing in it this early as it can only go 1 way ^

And if the government has no control of this utopian system and it proves to be the democratic will of the people that this system, once started, be stopped; how is that done ?

Blockchain technology, which has already been adopted by gold traders, is starting to show the potential to transform other sectors of the global physical commodities markets.

While it wouldn't necessarily boost commodity prices, the innovation could offer a secure means of exchange of raw materials, open up channels of trade among buyers and sellers that had until now have been perceived as credit risks, and provide more transparency and liquidity to a market that has slowly lost favor among financial institutions.

The technology provides a way of accounting for financial transactions. It was developed as a means of addressing the vulnerability of stored data on exchange of assets. Many associate blockchain with bitcoin. The cryptocurrency has undergone a meteoric price increase this year, up more than 17-fold. Future contracts began trading on Cboe and CME Group this month. By Dec. 18, the January contract had soared to over $20,000.
