I heard about DigixDao for the first time a few weeks ago when its price exploded while the bitcoin went down. For now I'm considering it as a valuable refuge when bitcoin starts crashing, but not for holding.

What if a backed coin doesn't act as a stable coin? For example the Petro from Venezuela, Im pretty sure it will crash below 60$.

One issue I can see with these coins that are backed by a security is do they actually posses the collateral they claim to. This is the current issue with Tether and a similar question mark could be raised against this coin. however having said that these type of coins would be a great way to trade gold and other commodities. Therefore I think this coin deserves more research. Thanks as always for the content.
