DeepOnion Hardfork Coming Beginning of AprilsteemCreated with Sketch.

A hardfork for that questionable coin is coming to introduce stealth addresses or at least so they say . The code is closed source and no real measures appear to be in place to avoid multiple chains forking. A second blockchain appeared already.

So what will happen? At a hardfork as this one (remember the ones with BCH and BCG), all coins will automatically double. You will keep Onions on the old blockchain, and receive the same amount on the new one.

How exchanges, and there are not many, will react, we do not know yet. I strongly recommend against upgrading the wallet before the fork at block 460000 that should occur beginning of April, or you will likely lose all your (double) coins on the old chain.

I do not hold DO, so consider this a general remark for hardforks.

So you lemmings flag your own hard fork FAQ. That speaks a lot for it. I would be careful too, so I said.

It pretty much looks like the Onion fanboys abuse the flag function for some content they do not like. Perhaps you should understand how Steemit works. We can agree to disagree, but you are just behaving like a sect. But we knew that before.

This post is pure FUD.

This upgrade is proposed by the DeepOnion development team, supported by all exchanges trading onions, the mining pool, the faucet as well as of course the community. Even our Discord tipping bot has been upgraded. - Source

The source code is not closed but open, you can find it on github as has been the case since the start of this project. At least do your research before making wild accusations.

I'd recommend reading the FAQ linked aabove to understand more.
