As much as I enjoyed this series, I am still not sold on mining for profit, it feels these days are well and truly behind us now that now that POS and DPOS are here to stay.

Did some research today into building a GPU mining rig. Wish I had the free time to set one up because it would be fun and great learning. Sadly it is probably easier to just invest the GPU money in BTC directly.

There has to be a profit in it for people to do it. I have been researching small 1500 watt wind turbines which are very inexpensive and would be enough to power a 6 GPU card rig entirely on free energy.

That is a very tempting option, but I would still prefer ASIC miners due to the speed to real estate ratio, each to their own though.
