If you want a fork of Bitcoin that's far superior than all the others, then buy Litecoin. If you just want a fork that's better than BTrash, buy Dogecoin.

Litecoin and doge were not "forked" from bitcoin. They are coins created using similar code inspired by bitcoin.

Fair enough. They took the code base. I think it's actually better that they didn't fork Bitcoin simply because the whole BTC forking story is a running joke. There are expected to be another 50 BTC forks in 2018. Everybody thinks they can just take free money out of the forks rather than running another me too ICO. It's pathetic.

The more people who educate themselves on finance, investing, money and blockchain the better. The underlying factor really is. Are people too dumb and lazy for this to really succeed. Maybe but only time will tell.

Personally, I could care less about BTC, LTC, BTrash, or any other crypto as the long term currency winner. I care that we have (as far as possible) extremely fast, truly peer-to-peer, highly distributed, and incredibly private distributed ledger transactions. Unfortunately, the vast populace won't ever really understand the reasoning for this. All the masses seem to really care about is greed or laziness / convenience and this is why they can be sold bread and games constantly. Sadly, I'm afraid this is going to be used against us and we are going to end up with something like Fedcoin or worse. I hate to be pessimistic, but as George Carlin used to say, "Think of how dumb the average person is. Now remember that 50% of the people are stupider than that." (Sigh)

Bitcoin was the cause of all the forks and confusion. And they never fixed their problems. So all bitcoin and byproducts are trashy at the moment. But I still hold a lil bit of them all and wait for better days. But NO new money of mine goes to bitcoin, or their byproducts until they get shit straight. Litecoin will wear the crown at some point.

Lightning network for BTC is actually in beta-phase and I'm hoping it will fix a lot of the issues going on with bitcoin.

Anyway in this short propaganda article I wanted to make clear: We should not support BitcoinCash, BCash, BTrash (whatever you want to name it) as it was violently trying to attack bitcoin in many ways and had a very bad influence on the cryptocurrency-market in general in my opinion!

Be aware of the issues with Lightning as well. It's not nearly as positive as you have been sold on it. In fact, there are serious issues that will likely arise with it:

Very interesting!

This video actually proves that the Tech might not replace the current banking system and it's not that revolutionizing as we thought, but for the value of Bitcoin lightning network still sounds like very good news which will bring more investors and improve transaction times and fees.

Crypto has and will revolutionize banking and many other things. Bitcoin got us here but does not mean it will stay. However cryptocurrency and blockchain is definately here to stay.

I agree with our right to express ourselves but is the picture of a nice guy like Roger Ver caught in one of his worst moments make your point any better.

I get your point, but Roger is not a nice guy. He's incredibly arrogant and he's been manipulating the whole BTrash story to make himself a lot more money. He may sell himself as some selfless Bitcoin advocate, but I don't buy this BS for a minute. You can say that he was just caught at his worst in this interview, but it's not just this one incident. If we want to talk about a truly nice guy in the space, then we can talk about Charlie Lee.

I also get your point melip, but we do not share the same view for Roger Ver I think:
I don't like him either and I also feel he is trying to abuse his power and influence to attack bitcoin and become the number 1 cryptocurrency.

BCash is not at all the real sollution for Bitcoin long-term issues... In fact BCash would have the same scaling-issues as Bitcoin if it were to replace Bitcoin.

The guy who created Litecoin, sold them at the highest point and brought its price down to almost half?
I like them both, I really have no problem with any of them. I consider almost everyone in this circle very, very smart and they all deserve respect. That's all.

He did not sell all his Litecoin at the top by the way, on Twitter he mentions his selling prices. And he actually sold his Litecoins for a very good reason...

Check out his reasoning:
"Whenever I tweet about Litecoin price or even just good or bads news, I get accused of doing it for personal benefit. Some people even think I short LTC! So in a sense, it is conflict of interest for me to hold LTC and tweet about it because I have so much influence. I have always refrained from buying/selling LTC before or after my major tweets, but this is something only I know. And there will always be a doubt on whether any of my actions were to further my own personal wealth above the success of Litecoin and crypto-currency in general."

The market did not react very well to this news tho, that is a fact.
I definitely feel a lot more respect for Charlie Lee than for Roger Ver,
but yes they can both be admired.
