China does not want to hear about the Initial Coin Offering (ICO.) These fundraisers are developing in parallel with the infatuation for the blockchain Ethereum, which allows this type of operation to be like a fundraiser. But according to the Chinese newspaper Caixin, the government intends to completely prohibit this type of practice: it quotes a notice published by a Chinese institution responsible for assessing the risks related to financial products.
This notice reflects the government's intention to prohibit this type of practice and to tackle illegal fundraising companies. The leaflet contains the names of more than 60 organizations known to practice this type of ICO and which should be in the sight of Chinese regulators in the months to come.
