Howdy Steemians, are you interested in getting some free coins today? If so then you should check out Skeincoin! They're having both an airdrop for free coins, and a contest where you can win a few coins. Skeincoin is an older coin that's being revamped by the community. You can also still mine this coin very easily using a tutorial I posted a while back if you're interested! However, if mining isn't your thing you can still score some free coins in two ways.
Method #1: Skeincoin Contest
In order to get in on the contest you'll need to join the Skeincoin Discord channel. After joining navigate to the "contests" area on the left.
The rules for the contest are kind of a mathematical game, but you really only need to add a random number of your choice to participate.
1.) First put the number after the last person's number. This will be your number in the contest. (It stops at 50, but there's still 20 spots left currently!)
2.) Second, choose a 'manipulator number'. This is any number you want between -49 to +49. All of these numbers will be added, subtracted and divided in order to come up with a winner.
3.) Make sure to leave your Skeincoin address! You can get one by either downloading the official skeincoin wallet at the website or using a compatible exchange account like cryptopia to deposit. The winner will have 50 coins deposited to their given wallet address.
Method #2: Free Skeincoin Airdrop!
The second way you can get some free coins is via the airdrop! I'm not sure how many spots are left, but with this method you will get coins as long as you join. I'd do it quickly as the drop is limited to 100 people. You'll get 30 coins for free just for doing this.
1.) Join the Discord Channel - If you did the first method then you're all set here! Here's the link again if you missed it.
2.) Follow Official Skeincoin on Twitter.
3.) Retweet the airdrop tweet.
4.) Fill out the form with what you just did.
Once the airdrop is completed you should get some shiny new skeincoin into the wallet address you provided. If you want to check out the official airdrop posting or ask questions to those running it you can do so either on Discord or in the associated bitcointalk thread.
