How long have you been investing in cryptocurrency?
If you are a seasoned investor, you probably are not reading this. But if you are, it is an honour to have you as one of my readers. Hoping for your kind comments and suggestions to improve what I have started.
If you are just like me, you are here because I asked you to – mom, is that you? Or you just started not that far back and just wanted to know if you are doing it right or to know more to continue this journey.
Join me as we travel this crypto world and see how far we can go or even reach the destination we envisioned to be in.

How did I start this journey?
You can call it FOMO because I just came across Bitcoin around May of 2017 which was late compared to pioneers. Yes, Bitcoin! I didn’t know what Ethereum was, what altcoins were, or even the term cryptocurrency was so foreign for me.
Then the rest is history, started reading a bunch of articles regarding Bitcoin and watched tons of youtube videos. That’s how I was introduced to altcoins and all those acronyms/terms (FUD, ICO, TA, fiat).
Once I got sold with crypto, I registered to almost all exchanges I can find from Coinbase, Coinsquare, Binance, Quadrigacx, Poloniex, etc…
To transfer fiat money to any of these exchanges was a pain, it took at least a week just to get my money in. To be honest, I was frustrated and was wondering how this would flourish. So I just invested in Bitcoin and left it there.
Lots of things happened after that investment personally. I changed my job after working for a company for a decade which became my distraction from monitoring this investment. December came and to my surprise – everyone was already talking about Bitcoin. I then checked the rate and Wow!!! That was a massive gain.
What did I do with my capital?
As an ordinary investor, I played it safe. I took out my initial investment and left all the gains there. I felt like if I did that, I had nothing to lose but everything to gain.
In my next post, I will detail how I diversified my gains (which is now my new capital) and see how it worked out after that.
