Nucleus Vision (NCASH) is one of the most practical new projects in the space. To make it short, it essentially aims to bring COOKIES--no, not the ones you eat--to brick and mortar retailers, to level the playing field against online retail.
Yes...Most of us probably hate the internet's use of cookies and their ability to track nearly EVERY. SINGLE. THING. WE. DO.
Adding on to that, people are now trying to use this technology in the stores we shop at on a daily basis?? WE MUST STOP THIS!
Sounds like the beginning of an Orwellian fantasy right?
Wrong.
You see, with constant innovations running rampant in our digital world, it is getting clearer by the day that the use of technology is becoming increasingly important in society.
Time and time again, we have seen former retail juggernauts slowly wither away, bowing down to the incomprehensible power of technological innovation.
Companies like Sears and Toys R Us, once dominating their respective industries, have lost much of their footing in the wake of E-commerce.
Blockbuster was once a huge monopoly in the movie rental industry, with stores littered across the world, the thought of even COMPETING with it was taboo.
...But as the saying goes: The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
Remember this dinosaur?
Online shopping in particular, is seamless nowadays. It's almost as if you're thinking about a particular item in your head, and POOF an ad of that exact item appears on the bottom-right corner of your browser as you scroll through your Facebook Newsfeed.
--I somewhat believe in the law of attraction, but some of these internet ads are seriously like law of attraction on steroids--
Companies like Facebook, Google, and Amazon are making a KILLING ($$$) by exploiting our personal information through their networks which include various different third parties.
Even worse? WE ARE ALLOWING IT. By using these sites, we essentially sign our rights to internet privacy away. But we all probably know that by now.
What don't most of us know?
This inter-platform-transfer of information makes surfing the web THAT much more lucrative. The internet's hive-mind knows exactly what you want, and what your preferences are.
Instead of going through an entire catalog of items just to find that specific pair of jeans you were looking for, nowadays that pair will pop up nearly instantaneously, along with 'Other items you may like' after you click on it.
How does this affect retail stores?
Brick and Mortar stores don't necessarily know what YOU specifically want. They fill their stores with items based on current, or recurring trends--which does work, but it takes a holistic approach to things. Imagine if these stores could tell
your preferences from the second you walk in? That would give them quite a competitive advantage with their online counterparts.
IN COME NUCLEUS VISION
The missing piece of the puzzle.
Nucleus Vision will BRING the internet TO the retailer. With their use of IoT, and real-time sensor technology, physical stores will now be able to gain access to the tools that have made their online counterparts so successful.
In today's world where people are literally buying drugs with bitcoin, there is absolutely no way brick and mortar retail is ever beating out online retail.
So if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Right? Do what they're doing, use their strengths and make them your own.
However, with Nucleus Vision's model, the power goes back to us, the consumers.
Users get to choose which data they would like to share, and they are rewarded for sharing their data with NCASH, a payable and tradable token.
Oftentimes we unknowingly sign off the rights to our personal data being exploited online, as we click 'Agree' to various Terms of Service agreements that we'll never read.
With this system, the user will be rewarded for sharing certain parts of their information that they CHOOSE to share.
Watch this short ~1 minute video below to visualize what a world with Nucleus Vision would look like:
Imagine if physical retail stores never began accepting debit or credit card readers once banks implemented them. Or imagine if 'Apple Pay' and 'Google Pay' were only able to be used for online shopping after smartphones rose to prominence. The former example becoming a necessity in stores across the world, and the latter well on its way to have a similar impact.
Society has gone through various stages of evolution, and commerce has similarly evolved.
Brick and Mortar retail has been constant, withstanding the test of time. But with online retail gaining ground as its biggest threat to date, this system must adapt, it must evolve.
Nucleus Vision will bring forth the evolution of retail.
