With increase interests in cryptocurrencies everyone is looking for opportunities to acquire them. Some as investment instruments of short term gains and some for the long run. With accumulation of cryptocurrencies comes the inevitable issue of keeping them safe from others.

Keep your coins safe, use cold storage!

There is lot of interest in cold storage methods that are offline, away from the preying hackers that are scanning the Internet to steal your precious coins. Hardware wallets like trezor and ledgerwallet are famous as well as the down to Earth method of making a paper wallet.

However, Martijn Wismeijer, a Dutch IT professional and a cryptocurrency enthusiast has taken wallet security to the next level. He has embedded two tiny glass tubes each having the NFC (Near-Field Communication) Type 2 compliant NTAG216 RFID chipset in each of his hands.

In one hand he has a chipset that contains his public key and on the other hand he has his password protected private key. He can easily transfer his public key by scanning his hand with a NFC enabled device.

Wismeijer purchased the two chipsets from DangerousThings.com and had to go to a piercing studio articles to get them installed in his hands since Wismeijer's his family doctor refused to do it!

Wismeijer believes there is a very good possibility that people will use this method or a one similar to this to “embed” cryptocurrencies in their body instead keeping them stashed somewhere else. Who knows, maybe in 100 years or so fiat currencies and leather wallets will be a thing of the past and you may have to visit a museum to take a look at them ....
