Hey! Nice article, welcome to Steemit. Sorry to see your first post being drowned and only responded to by some bots, because it really deserves more attention. I'm very much into POS and similar coins that provide a sort of dividend. I don't get into actively staking by keeping the wallet open like the real staking coins, but currently I am mostly invested in coins like NEO and OMG which will also give rewards for holding them. You just drop them in a wallet and it collects rewards while everything is offline. NEO is particularly nice since it has so much potential and already works, but I really like OMG too because of the insane transaction volume they will be processing (I made some posts on this).
Not sure how big of an investor you are, but if you like coins that give out a dividend, let me point out that WCX tokens are going into ICO stage soon. They are currently giving out free tokens here: https://wcex.co/?ref=XSGi60ri
It's a decentralized exchange, and 20% of the profits made from transaction fees will be paid to token holders. With the amount of decentralized exchanges coming up I don't know how succesful it will be, but hey, free tokens that provide residual income, who cares? hehe. Supposed to hit exchanges in October. Also the link above is a referral link, I get 50 tokens extra if you use that to sign up. You'd make my day!
Additionally, I noticed that you are new... and let me tell you, you are in for some discouragement. It's really hard to get any kind of views on Steemit because there are so many new posts. The only way to get any kind of success is by accumulating Followers. I currently have like 300, and still my posts get drowned. Don't be discouraged too much. I have noticed Steemit takes abou a month of serious effort and engagement with communitymembers in order to pick up some, well, Steem. Even now it's not fantastic for me, but it's getting better. I have gotten most of my followers from commenting on other people's posts, usually in the new category.. like right now!
Additionally I would recommend shortening your articles to about 1/4th or 1/5th size maximum. This platform doesn't suit well for long, thorough and indepth texts unless you are an important figure.
To help you out, I started to follow you so you show up in my feed, so I can upvote stuff I find interesting. Feel free to follow me back, I focus mostly on cryptorelated stuff (and complaining about how hard it is for n00bs to get through on this platform).
Good luck!
Thanx for your complex response! I already had published this article on medium and got much more views and feedback there so I think one reason this has not so many views here is that it is republished and many who are interested in POS and passive income in crypto already read it on medium, the article had been shared quite often on twitter. I actually wanted to publish it here first but Steemit needed VERY long to "validate" my account.
After writing this article I noticed I forgot another way for passive income in crypto. But I decided to leave it out as I think many play a dirty game here recommending things they wouldn't do or buy themselves just for profits. Like recommending 100x leverage trading to noobs that will FOR SURE get rekt. Or ICOs that already got an unrealistic high market cap. What concerns WCEX I already got an account but I decided not give out referral links on that one as I never could know how it plays out. I really only reccomend things I use myself and I didn't invest in WCEX. I prefer smaller cap projects in general. That is also a concern I have about NEO and OMG, although what you wrote sounded VERY interesting... Could you send me the links to your articles?
What concers my article's length... I think I want to provide quality for those who appreciate it and I didn't want to leave a single point out as I think everything is neccessary for people to get a bigger picture. I probaly won't write a new article for quite some time - but then it will be very complex again. Maybe I write an article on some diversification ideas for crypto people into semi-numismatic silver coins and meteorites... We will see :D .
